Prescott, Arizona Prescott is referred to as “Everybody’s Hometown.” The original capital of the Arizona Territory, Prescott today still reflects that pioneering past, particularly in the “Whiskey Row” area of downtown. The diverse offerings throughout the year include the Yavapai Symphony, the World’s Oldest Rodeo, Faire on the Square, the Pippen and Sharlot Hall Museums, plays offered by the colleges and other groups, and the Prescott Brewery Café where local made beers are served. In December Prescott is noted as Arizona’s Christmas City. Hiking and scenery are abundant all within a few miles of the city. Fishing abounds with the local lakes routinely stocked with fish. There are a number of excellent courses for the golf enthusiasts.
